Enjoy four Scandinavian capitals on a 12-night tour, traveling by train and overnight cruise ships. Discover Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, with visits that include Tivoli, the Danish Parliament at Christiansborg, and Amalienborg Palace. Take an overnight cruise to Oslo, the vibrant capital of Norway, where you walk through Vigeland Sculpture Park and see attractions such as Royal Palace Park. Next, travel by train to Gothenburg, Sweden, for some sightseeing, before continuing to the capital, Stockholm. Sights include Gamla Stan (Old Town) and Stockholm City Hall. Finally, cruise to Helsinki, Finland’s capital, where the tour includes Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress and the Helsinki Zoo. Spend a day exploring at your leisure before returning to the US. Starting from $2560 per person, based on double occupancy.

Day 1 - Arrive Copenhagen

Day 2 - Copenhagen
After breakfast, discover the city this morning on your guided coach tour. Pass by the city’s major attractions, including Tivoli, the Danish Parliament at Christiansborg, and Islands Brygge, and make photo stops at the Little Mermaid and the Royal Danish Opera, with its splendid panoramic view. Also, enjoy a stop at Amalienborg Castle and experience the changing of the Royal Guards. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 3 – Copenhagen/Oslo
Depart from Copenhagen in the late afternoon by ferry to cross the North Sea to Oslo. Overnight on board DFDS Seaways’ cruise ship. (B)

Day 4 - Oslo
Arrive in Oslo, Norway’s capital, this morning. Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the city on your own. (Scandic Oslo City/Continental) (B)

Day 5 - Oslo
This morning, your city tour includes a guided walk through the Vigeland Sculpture Park. See the world-renowned collection of works by Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland. Continue to the famous Holmenkollen ski jump for a photo stop and to enjoy the view from one of the city’s finest vantage points.  Continue with a coach tour through the center of the city, as your guide provides information about the city’s history and culture and its major attractions, such as Akershus Castle and Fortress and the Royal Palace Park (Slottsparken).  Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 6 – Oslo/Gothenburg
After breakfast today, departure from Oslo by train to Gothenburg. Sweden’s second largest city and largest harbor. This afternoon, step aboard a Paddan open-top sightseeing boat in the center of the city at Kungsportsplatsen. See the old moat and canals that date from the 17th century while learning about the history of Gothenburg’s construction and defense. Your guided tour continues beneath the many low bridges, which bring you out into the fascinating harbor with traditional shipyards, the fishing harbor, new and old housing, expanding commercial and academic sites and maritime museum. Afterward, you can discover the city at your leisure. Gothenburg has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is easy to explore on foot. (First G/Scandic No. 25) (B)

Day 7 - Gothenburg/Stockholm
Today your journey continues by train to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Stockholm is built on 14 islands and you are never far from the water. Well-preserved medieval buildings stand alongside modern architecture in this charming northern European capital.  Just outside the city, the archipelago of 24,000 islands is waiting to be explored. Days 8 - Stockholm
On your sightseeing tour this morning, discover the beautiful city of Stockholm. Get to know Stockholm and the city’s history as your guided coach tour passes all the must-see attractions, including the most famous buildings and views over the city. The city districts and famous sights such as Stockholm City Hall, The Royal Palace, Ostermalm, Gamla Stan (Old Town), Langholmen and The Royal Djurgarden are all parts of this journey. (B)

Day 9 – Stockholm
Full day to explore and admire the city at your leisure. Perhaps stroll through Gamla Stan, visit the maritime Vasa Museum, Skansen Open-Air Museum, or City Hall. (B)

Day 10 – Stockholm/Helsinki
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the pier on your own to board the ferry for your overnight cruise to Helsinki. Sail through the picturesque archipelago past numerous small islands on your way to Finland’s capital city. (B)

Day 11 – Helsinki
Arrive in Helsinki and transfer on your own to your hotel. On your canal route sightseeing cruise see the Helsinki shorelines, which feature gentle beaches and inlets. The many sights includ the historic Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress, Helsinki Zoo on Korkeasaari Island, the impressive fleet of icebreakers, and the Degero Canal. Along the way, hear about Helsinki’s fascinating history. (Fabian) (B)

Day 12 – Helsinki
Full day at leisure to explore the city at your leisure. (B)

Day 13 - Depart Helsinki
Transfer to the airport on your own for your departure flight. (B)
