Day 1 - Miami/San Jose
Depart Miami via Avianca Airlines to San Jose, Costa Rica. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. (Radisson)
Day 2 - San Jose/Tortuguero
Transfer from your hotel to the dock, and take a two-hour boat ride to Tortuguero National Park along the famous canals. En route, admire the area's unique flora and fauna. Afternoon, you may explore the tiny Caribbean village of Tortuguero. (Pachira Lodge) (B/L/D)
Day 3 - Tortuguero
Today, explore the smaller canals and get closer to nature. From July through September, optional turtle-watching tour in the evening, as the massive sea turtles arrive en masse to lay their eggs on the beach. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Tortuguero/Arenal Volcano
After breakfast, transfer by boat back to the dock. After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to the Arenal Volcano area. (Arenal Manoa) (B/L)
Day 5 - Arenal Volcano
Morning at leisure. Afternoon, visit Arenal Volcano area and the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort for a hot bath and dinner. (B/D)
