Sigiriya Village - Sigiriya

First Class

Our jungle retreat, Sigiriya Village, has the breathtaking sky-palace in its sights. Nestled in the village of Sigiriya, bathed in her cloak of lush velvety-green paddy and glorious birdlife, the retreat is also at the heart of the Cultural Triangle, home to the isle’s richest archaeological heritage sites. The hotel is humbled to be a part of this glorious heritage, as we welcome you to our sanctuary – to share the glories of an ancient culture, to bask in the tranquility of soothing village life, and simply escape to quieter times where life is unhurried, where there is time to listen to the pure magic of a poignant bird call or quietly watch a majestic elephant make her way through the jungle.

The hotel’s design complements perfectly its rural setting as it blends effortlessly into the rustic village life around it. Earth-toned cottages and gardens landscaped around their natural environment add to the Village’s magic, while its Ayurvedic Centre is specially designed to offer guests a rejuvenating taste of indigenous herbal care to soothe both body and mind.

Sigiriya Village has 100 rooms, individually designed earth-toned cottages, each with a bedroom with exquisite bathroom, and private verandah. Standard and Superior cottages are on offer with or without A/C. Other facilities include satellite TV, telephone and mini bar.

The cottages are arranged in six clusters, with a unique Sri Lankan theme and vibrant interiors. The cottages are equipped with modern amenities and are designed in a manner to ensure optimum comfort. Clusters of cottages are named and decorated with reference to rural life. The interiors of the King Fisher cluster are highlighted in hues of blue; the Paddy cluster in shades of green, the Temple cluster uses frangipani motifs in yellows and white, and the Ayvurudic cluster in reds, oranges and greens. The King Arbor cluster is secluded and provides for more privacy.

The hotel's main restaurant - located in a central area slightly aloof from the cottages - serves buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a la carte dining, while the bar serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The magic awaits you at Sigiriya Village, where legends unfold.
