Departures & Rates

Take an 11-night trip, starting your trip to India with a stop in Delhi, where you see Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutab Minar. From there, fly to Udaipur and explore the Jagdish Temple and the Sahelion Ki Bari Gardens. Then fly to Jaipur and visit the Palace of the Winds and the Jantar Mantar Observatory. Afterward, travel to Agra and see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Next, fly to Khajuraho and tour the Chandela Dynasty temples. Then fly to Varanasi, on the Ganges River, and journey to Sarnath, where you explore the ruins of monasteries and Buddhist art. Finally, transit through Delhi on your way back home. Starting from $3710, including air, with guaranteed weekly departures.

Day 1 - USA/Delhi
Depart from East Coast via Emirates trans-Atlantic flight for Delhi, India.

Day 2 - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, India's vibrant capital, where you transfer to your hotel. (ITC Welcom Dwarka/Vasant Continental)

Day 3 - Delhi
Afternoon tour of Old and New Delhi includes Humayun's Tomb, inspiration for the Taj Mahal; the Qutab Minar, an impressive 234-foot 13th-century minaret; and the Red Fort. (B)

Day 4 - Delhi/Udaipur
Fly to Udaipur on the banks of Lake Pichola. Explore the City Palace with its elaborate decor, the Sahelion Ki Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple, and the local folk art museum. (Ramada/Trident) (B)

Day 5 - Udaipur
A full day of sightseeing features a visit to the dazzling white marble temples of Ranakpur. Situated in the idyllic Arivali valley, Ranakpur is known as "the tranquil pilgrimage town." (B)

Day 6 - Udaipur/Jaipur
Morning flight to Jaipur, famous for its colorful buildings. Visit the Palace of the Winds, the City Palace, museum, and the Jantar Mantar Observatory. (Ramada/Hilton) (B)

Day 7 - Jaipur
Morning journey outside town to the Amber Fort. Make your ascent to the 17th-century palace on the back of a gaily caparisoned elephant and tour this distinguished specimen of Rajput architecture. (B)

Day 8 - Jaipur/Agra
Travel east to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted sandstone city with audience halls, palaces, mosques and tombs. Continue to Agra, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, and transfer to the hotel. (Clarks Shiraz/Jaypee Palace) (B)

Day 9 - Agra
Today, explore one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. Continue to the Agra Fort with its 70-foot sandstone wall and maze of finely designed mosques, palaces and courtyards, many of marble. (B)

Day 10 - Agra/Khajuraho
Take train to Khajuraho and tour the Chandela Dynasty temples, which house intricately carved statues and friezes portraying local life 1,000 years ago. (Jass Radisson) (B)

Day 11 - Khajuraho/Varanasi
Fly east to Varanasi, situated on the Ganges River and known as the religious capital of the Hindu world. Journey outside the city to Sarnath. Explore the ruins of monasteries and the museum's excellent collection of Buddhist art. (Radisson/Taj Ganges) (B)

Day 12 - Varanasi/Delhi
Early this morning, capture the essence of this holy city as your boat glides along the sacred waters of the Ganges, flanked by shrines, temples and palaces. Continue through the old city, a maze of narrow lanes, bazaars and some 2,000 temples and shrines. Later in the day, fly to Delhi, or continue with our Kathmandu Extension. On arrival in Delhi connect with your return flight to the US. (B)

5 Days/4 Nights

Day 12 - Varanasi/Kathmandu
Fly to the capital of the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, which sits in a valley surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Transfer to hotel, and enjoy dinner and a performance of Nepalese dance. (Grand/Yak & Yeti)(D)

Day 13 - Kathmandu
Journey to the ancient capital of Bhadgaon to see the Palace of Fifty-five Windows, the Golden Gate, and Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu shrine on the banks of the Bagmati River. In the afternoon, drive to the ancient city of Patan, famous for its exquisite temples and talented artisans. (B/L)

Day 14 - Kathmandu
This morning explore the highlights, including the imposing 2,000-year-old stupa Swayambhunath, the central Durbar Square, and the colorful lanes and alleyways of the local marketplace. (B)

Day 15 - Kathmandu/Dubai
Morning at leisure before your afternoon flight to Dubai, where you connect with your return flight to the US. (B)
