Day 2, Sunday - Lima/Cuzco
Fly to Cuzco and transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour includes the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace. Day 10, Monday - Quito/Galapagos
Early morning transfer to airport for your flight to Baltra Airport, Galapagos. Upon arrival, transfer to pier to board the MV Galapagos Legend. Afternoon, sail to the island of Santa Cruz and make a dry landing. Transfer to the highlands, home to giant tortoises. Visit Pit Craters, a great place to spot the vermilion flycatcher. Day 11, Tuesday - Galapagos Cruise
Sail to Egas Port on the island of Santiago, home to a variety of birds and an array of maritime wildlife, including endemic fur seals. Snorkeling offers rarities such as octopus and squid. Afternoon, make a dry landing at Bartolome. Hike to the summit for views of the surrounding islands. Encounter marine iguanas and lava lizards. (B/L/D)
Day 12, Wednesday - Galapagos Cruise
Arrive at Santa Cruz and make a dry landing. Walk by a lagoon where you may see feeding flamingos. The trail leads up to Dragon Hill, a nesting ground for endemic land iguanas and offering views of neighboring islands. Sail to North Seymour and make a dry landing this afternoon. A two-hour walk takes you amidst large nesting colonies of blue-footed boobies, magnificent and great frigate birds, and swallow-tailed gulls. Also encounter sea lions, and, perhaps, a Galapagos snake. (B/L/D)
Day 13, Thursday - Galapagos/Quito
