Depart from New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles via Cathay Pacific Airways. Cross International Dateline.
Day 2 - Hong Kong
Arrive in Hong Kong and transfer to hotel. (Royal Pacific Hotel)
Day 3 - Hong Kong
Today, take a half-day tour: a Hong Kong Story. Tour highlights include riding the 6th Generation Peak Tram to the Peak, and a guided Walking Tour of Old Town Central, starting from Central Mid-Level Escalator, the world’s longest outdoor covered escalator. Stop at Tai Kwun, sixteen heritage buildings, carefully preserved and transformed into an arts and culture hub. Walk along Hollywood Road, which is filled with trinket and antique shops. Stop at Man Mo Temple. Dim sum tasting at Tim Ho Wan. (B)
Day 4 - Hong Kong
Today, experience Hong Kong well-wishing tradition, religious heritage and more on this full-day tour. First, visit Kwun Yam Temple, honoring Kwun Yam (the Goddess of Mercy). Then, pay homage to Tin Hau Temple and School in Yau Ma Tei. The temple was built by local fishermen in 1986. Part of the Tin Hau Temple complex, the School was relocated to Yau Ma Tei in 1876. Wong Tai Sin Temple, known to grant wishes of all kinds, is home to three religious groups – Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Ngong Ping cable car ride, Asia's longest bi-cable ropeway, is a visually spectacular 5.7km journey. Po Lin Monastery is set against beautiful mountain and coastal scenery. Big Buddha is the world’s second largest outdoor seated bronze Buddha statue. Climbing up 268 steps to reach the pedestal, visitors can enjoy the view of Lantau island and South China Sea. A vegetarian lunch at Po Lin Moanstery is included. (B/L)
Day 5 - Hong Kong/Seoul
Transfer to airport and fly Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong. Arrive at Incheon International Airport and transfer to your hotel. (Amid Hotel) (B)
Day 6 - Seoul
A full-day tour of this national capital includes Gyeongbok Palace, Jogyesa Temple, the National Folk Museum and pass by the Blue House. After lunch, tour includes Bokchon Hanok Villege, N Seoul Tower, and the traditional Namdaemun Market. Tour finishes at your hotel. (B/L)
Day 7 - Seoul/Mt. Gaya/Gyeongju
In the morning, meet with local English-speaking driver-guide and transfer to Hapcheon by road. Visit Mt. Gaya National Park and the Haeinsa Temple, known as the repository of the Tripitaka Koreana. Then drive to Gyeongju. Overnight at your hotel. (The K Gyeongju Hotel) (B)
Day 8 - Gyeongju
Today's full-day tour takes you to Tumuli Park, the 6th-century Bulguksa Temple of the Silla Kingdom, Seokguram Grotto, Donggung Palace, Wolji Pond, the 7th-century Cheomseongdae astronomical observatory, and the National Museum. (B)
Day 9 - Gyeongju/Seoul
Return to Seoul by road. Overnight at your hotel. (Amid Hotel) (B)
Day 10 - Seoul/DMZ/Seoul
Take a full-day excursion to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and vicinity. Two kilometers away from the truce line on the North and South border, the DMZ is one of the last relics of the Cold War and a unique area where tension and peace coincide. Tour finishes at your hotel in Seoul. (B)
Day 11 - Seoul/New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles
Today you are transferred to the airport for your return flight to the USA. Arrive the same day in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles. (B)
