Day 1 - FLL/Igazu Falls
Depart Fort Lauderdale, Florida for Brazil.
Day 2 - Iguazu Falls
In the afternoon enjoy Iguazu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From the Brazilian side, walk beside the thundering cascades of Devil's Throat. (Best Western Taroba or similar) (B)
Day 3 - Iguazu Falls
In the morning,you may opt to cross the border to view the falls from the Argentine side. Here, walkways take you to the very top of the falls. Optional guided walk amongst the dense undergrowth, teeming with butterflies and hummingbirds. (B)
Day 4 - Iguazu Falls/Rio de Janeiro
Transfer to airport for flight to Rio de Janeiro. Arrive in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to your hotel. (Olinda Rio Hotel or similar) (B)
Day 5/6/7 - Rio de Janeiro
Spend three full days in Rio de Janiero. Visit the famous Copacabana beach, take a short train ride through Tijuca Forest and the Christ the Redeemer statue or take a cable car ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain. (B)
Day 8 - Rio de Janeiro/FLL
Transfer to airport for return flight to Fort Lauderdale. (B)

IGUAZU OPTIONAL TOURS
Half day Brazilian Falls - $100 per person - Private
Pick up at the hotel and head towards the Iguaçu National Park in Brazil. En route to the falls, we will drive through the lush, subtropical vegetation of the park. After arrival, we will take a descending trail of the canyon, from where we can enjoy panoramic views of more than 240 falls. We will board a glass elevator, which takes us to a platform where more exquisite views will be revealed. Along with its “sister” park in Argentina, The Iguassu National Park forms the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone of South America, which along with the waterfalls have been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO. For passengers staying at Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas, the tour departs from the hotel. We will end the tour with a visit to the artisans fair.
Half day Itaipu Dam - $55 per person - SIC
Visit the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. The tour begins at the reception center, where visitors can watch an audiovisual presentation about the dam and its power production station. Following the presentation, a visit to the dam itself. The dam is 8 km wide and features a total of 20 turbines, running at a capacity of 14MW. This impressive civil engineering project, which crosses the Paraná River, the 7th largest river in the world, was built by the Brazilian and Paraguayan governments and supplies water to 10 different states in Brazil and Paraguay.
Half day Macuco Safari w/ Brazilian Falls - $200 per person - Private

The big adventure begins at the Macuco Safari entrance gates, located at kilometer 25 on the Cataratas Highway, inside the Iguassu National Park. We will embark in open jeep-towed wagons permiting a free view of the scenery along the trail. During the three kilometers stretch through the jungle, multi-lingual guides point out and explain the flora and fauna of the Park. Second stage of the tour is an optional hike of 600 meters, which leads us to the waterfall baptized Macuco Falls. The Macuco Falls, perfect for a refreshing dip on days of intense heat, spill down from a height of approximately 20 meters. Access is via a stairway carved into an ancient rock. The last stop is the Macuco Safari dock on the Brazilian side of the Iguassu River. In the water the inflatable bi-motor boats are secure and efficient vessels, especially constructed to withstand the rigors of the excursion. Before embarking, passengers receive life-vests and plastic containers made to protect photographic and filming equipment. The boat travels up-river, passing the canyon, facing the rapids, at a speed permitting the appreciation of the scenery. Rocks, animals and a spectacular green landscape complete the scenery until we reach the great horseshoe known as the Devil's Throat. To top the tour off, the pilot will give everyone a splash by navigating through the spray of one of the falls! We recommend that passengers bring a change of clothes, due to the constant spray from the falls, and to not bring anything that can get wet - lockers are available at the pier before boarding.

An exciting tour of 10 minutes, with lots of information and a unique opportunity to observe the picturesque landscape and the spectacular scenery of the Iguaçu National Park, the Três Fronteiras (the meeting point of the borders between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay) and the Itaipu Dam and reservoir. RIO DE JANEIRO OPTIONAL TOURS
Full Day Corcovado + Sugar Loaf w/stop for lunch - $180 per person - Private
Depart from the hotel after breakfast to visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro from up above. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. Embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located 2,300 ft above sea level. The Christ statue, known as the “wonder of Rio”, was recently elected one of the 7 "New Wonders of the World". Upon arrival at the top, guests can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to arrive at the foot of the statute. There, passengers can enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is called the "Marvelous City". Afterwards, descend the mountain and stop for a delicious lunch. Over a million tourists each year visit the world famous ‘Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain), which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated, refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable-cars. The first cable-car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable-car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360 degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio de Janeiro. Half Day Favela Tour - $45 per person - SIC
On this tour we will visit one of the traditional slums of Rio de Janeiro. This type of construction started by the end of XIX century in Rio de Janeiro when soldiers returned from a war in Bahia and without money started to build houses on one of the hills of the city. They were joined by the immigrants and the former slaves, who also did not have money and place to live and also started building their houses on the hills without any infrastructure. Although the slum’s infrastructure has been highly improved with facilities of the modern life, it is still quite below the general standards of the urbanized city.
From the hotel we reach the favela by open air jeep, upon arrival we visit the slum administration, from there we walk through the many narrow streets of the neighborhood to observe the routine of the community and understand the difference between the urbanized city and the slums.
Half Day Secrets of Old Rio - $75 per person - Private This is an unusual walking tour which gives the visitor a feeling for the legends and stories woven around the narrow streets and old historical buildings of downtown Rio. The walk includes a visit to many interesting points, such as the São Bento Monastery, Candelaria (the candle-makers), Praça XV, the "Travessa do Mercado", Imperial Palace (Paço Imperial), the cultural center located in the beautifully-restored Banco do Brasil, the Casa França-Brasil, Ouvidor (the listeners) Street and Gonçalves Dias Street with the traditional Colombo Coffee Shop. The walk continues on down Uruguaiana Street, Carioca Square up to the Metropolitan Cathedral where passengers will meet the transportation that will take them back to their hotels. Rio by Night w/ Plataforma Show + dinner - $125 per person - SIC We will pick up you at the hotel for a dinner at a Barbecue Restaurant. After dinner we head to the most famous samba theater in Rio de Janeiro to enjoy an unforgettable performance of Brazilian Samba and folklore.
