Take an overnight flight from Los Angeles arrive in Auckland two days later. Spend three nights discovering this charming “City of Sails” on your own or take some optional tours.     DISCOVER AUCKLAND – Morning (GS1) : $49 per person

    Your tour begins with a trip over the Harbour Bridge, enabling you to see firsthand why Auckland is known as the City of Sails. Then visit the Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park, situated on a 62,000 year old volcano before continuing on to Parnell Village with its trendy shopping area featuring many boutiques, craft and specialty shops. Following a brief stop your tour continues along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Savage Memorial Park in Mission Bay (a memorial to the first Labour Prime Minister of New Zealand) which provides superb views of the stunning Hauraki Gulf and Auckland City before returning to your hotel. Departs: 9:45am Returns: approx 12:45pm.     Today your tour takes you across the Auckland Harbour Bridge, north via the Hibiscus Coast to the beautiful Bay of Islands - a haven for people who enjoy sea activities and the beauty of uncrowded sandy beaches and native forests. Arrive in Paihia and visit the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, then join a cruise to Cape Brett and travel through the famous 'Hole in the Rock' (weather permitting). (Boxed picnic style lunch included onboard your cruise). On completion of your cruise, rejoin your coach for your return journey to Auckland.

    ROTORUA & WAITOMO DAY EXCURSION TOUR (GS16AL): $250 per person

    Travel south from Auckland through the rich farmland of the Waikato on to Waitomo. Once at Waitomo take a guided tour through the long galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny lights from the glowworms suspended from the cave ceiling. Continue on to Rotorua by coach while enjoying a light lunch is onboard. Once in Rotorua watch a farm show including a dog trial at Agrodome Farm, and enjoy a guided tour of Te Puia, view mighty geysers & boiling mud pools and a Maori cultural performance.     Today you will travel Auckland, south through the rich farmland of the Waikato on to Waitomo. After lunch (included) begin your guided tour through the long galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves.     The America's Cup is the world's oldest and most prestigious sporting trophy and ultimate yachting regatta. Usually the domain of billionaires and elite professional yachties, NZL 40 and NZL 41 offer the unique opportunity for everyone to participate sailing on these grand prix racing machines. Become part of the crew and take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as you sail down the Auckland Harbour.     Be introduced to Waiheke on the Fullers Waiheke Explorer Tour - a picturesque 40 minute boat trip followed by a 1.5 hour scenic highlights tour of Waiheke's stunning locations. Cruise to Waiheke through the glorious Hauraki Gulf and on arrival you will be met by an experienced guide who will give you a taste of the views, culture and history that make up the diverse island of Waiheke. On conclusion of the tour, take advantage of the complimentary All Day Bus Pass allowing you to either return to a destination visited on the tour, or disvoer the island further on scheduled public bus services.
