Day 1 - Los Angeles /Philippines
Depart US for Cebu.

Day 2 - Cebu
On arrival to the beautiful island of Cebu, known as “The Queen City of the South” transfer, via coach, to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. (Palm Beach Resort & Spa or similar)
 
Day 3,4- Cebu
Spend four days on your own to relax on an array of comfortable beaches, walk around the city, or take one of many optional day tours. (Palm Beach Resort & Spa) (B)

Day 5 – Cebu/Bohol
After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the pier, where you will take a short ferry to Bohol. Then transfer to your hotel. (Dumaluan Beach Resort or similar) (B)
 
Day 6,7 - Bohol
Spend two more nights in Bohol and sign up for the optional tours to Chocolate Hills,  (B)

Day 8 – Bohol-Cebu
Transfer back to Cebu via ferry and then transfer from pier to international airport and fly back to US.

TOUR: CEBU CITY TOUR – Adult $119 Child $59


DURATION: 4-5 HOURS

Visit Cebu’s historical landmarks including Magellan’s Cross, marks the spot where the first Christian Filipinos were baptized. In 1525 to 1740, the Agustinian Priests built an open shrine for the cross but the natives began to take chips from the cross from the total destruction. To protect it further, a hollow cross of tindalo wood was made to encase the original cross which still stands today; Basilica Minore del Sto.Niño, this church was built where the image of the Sto.Niño was found in 1565. The first structure of the church was, however, destroyed by fire in 1568. Rebuilt in 1602, it was conferred the title of Basilica Minor del Sto.Niño by Cardinal Antonuitte; along the way, appreciate the creative mix of foreign influences and local tradition in places like Casa Gorordo, the home of the First Filipino Bishop of Cebu, Juan Gorordo. A tour inside the residence is a brief journey into a Filipino lifestyle in the period amid 1860 to 1920. The place presently features noted paintings, museum relics, a courtyard, antique household items and furniture; Fort San Pedro, the smallest and oldest tri-bastion fort in the country. This served as the nucleus of the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines; guitar factory and the colorful native market.

DURATION: 3-4 HOURS

An orientation tour of Mactan, visit Mactan’s landmarks like Lapu-lapu’s monument, site where the battle between Mactan Island Chieftain Lapu-lapu and the foreign aggressor Ferdinand Magellan. It depicts the hero holding a bolo in one hand and a pestle on the other. Said weapons were believed to have been used during his combat with Magellan. This monument stands as a reminder of Filipino bravery; Marian shrine and the Shrine of Our Lady of Rule, the home of the Miraculous Lady of the Rule which is the Patron of this City. Get a chance to see how guitars are crafted, visit a Mactan stone factory and drive by the native wet market. Get a glimpse of the white sand and blue sea Mactan is famous for.

TOUR: SOUTH COUNTRYSIDE TOUR – Adult $175 Child $85

Drive down Cebu’s southern coastal road and visit a working fishing village, see the Spanish styled homes in the town of Carcar, visit the Tisa House, an old Spanish house which has been converted to a Museum showing the typical Filipino setting during the Spanish time and see native handicrafts made in the beautiful countryside. If the timing is right, see how native delicacies like chicharon (crispy pork rind) and ampao (rice cakes) are made. Visit the historical churches of the South and experience the history imbedded in their walls.

Take a motorized banca and cruise by the islets of Mactan. Try fish feeding at the Marine sanctuary and/or snorkeling. Barbeque Lunch on Nalusuan Island with time to enjoy the sand, sun and sea.

Arrive at the Snorkeling Area: The Hilutungan Marine Sanctuary where many fishes came to gather in this sanctuary especially if a snorkeler feeds bread up close to the fish. Shallows are about 100 meters extensions from the upheaval of a coral reef. It becomes deepen slowly and is depressed perpendicularly. The small fishes could be reach in just around 5 meters depth and bigger fishes could be encountered in 10-15 meters depth. A diving or a snorkel plus (originally by K I Marine) comes closer to underwater species and really can appreciate the marine world activities. In Hilutungan, guests could just stay in a boat and going in and out of the sea to do all these. One has to wear life jacket for a snorkel and swimming as a compulsory. Then proceed to Nalusuan Island, considered the smallest island. Though it is also a white sand beach but it’s not suitable for swimming and snorkeling because of its shallow water sea level. In reaching the island, a boat should docked at a far distant especially on a low tide, therefore a long walk at the seashore to the pier. The island is best for picnic, playing games for children. Taal Volcano is an active volcano inside a lake, formed through one major eruption at the center of a lake. Taal volcano is a complex volcanic system with more than 33 eruptions since it was first recorded in 1572. This picturesque volcano is about 70 kilometers south of Manila, in the province of Batangas.

The hike begins on the island's shore and ends at the rim of the main Crater Lake via the regular trail. No worry, a Taal volcano trek is easy. On-board a motorized outrigger boat for the 20-minute ride to Volcano Island, which was created by subsequent eruptions up to 1754. Assisted by guide and local coordinator, ride local ponies along wide expanses of hardened black lava flows up to the crater rim viewpoint overlooking the two-kilometer Crater Lake. Within Crater Lake is another volcanic cinder cone called Vulcan point, which appeared during the Taal’s last major eruption in 1977.
