Patagonia Cruise

12 Days/10 Nights - from $4,895 per person including airfare from Miami
Take a 10-night trip to the Patagonia region of South America. Start in Buenos Aires, where you visit the Plaza de Mayo and the Plaza del Congreso. From there, fly to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, where you board the MV Stella Australis on your voyage to Cape Horn. Sail through Beagle and Murray channels to disembark in Cape Horn National Park and see the scenic beauty near Antarctica. Disembark in historic Wululaia Bay. Also, visit Gunther Pluschow Glacier and Magdalena Island before disembarking at Punta Arenas and flying to Santiago for a tour on your way back to the US. Starting from $4895, including air, with seasonal departures.

Day 1, Friday - Miami/Buenos Aires
Depart via LAN Argentina flight to Buenos Aires in the evening.

Day 2, Saturday - Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to hotel. (NH 9 de Julio/Madero)

Day 3, Sunday - Buenos Aires
Morning city tour includes the Obelisco; the famous squares Plaza de Mayo, San Martin, Alvear and Plaza del Congreso; avenues Corrientes, Mayo, and 9 de Julio; and historic neighborhoods. Afternoon free. (B)

Day 4, Monday - Buenos Aires
After breakfast, a day at leisure. This evening, dinner and tango show in a traditional "tangueria." (B/D)

Day 5, Tuesday - Buenos Aires/Ushuaia
After breakfast, fly to Ushuaia the world's southernmost city. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Altos/Las Hayas) (B)

Day 6, Wednesday –Ushuala/Patagonia Cruise
Today, travel west to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Enjoy panoramic views of Beagle Canal and surrounding foothills of the Andes and Andean-Patagonian forest. Continue to Lapataia Bay, before returning to Ushuaia and boarding Australis cruise ship. Embark on a voyage through Beagle Channel to Southern Patagonia, including Tierra del Fuego. Day 7, Thursday - Cape Horn/Wulaia Bay
Sail through the Beagle and Murray channels to disembark in Cape Horn National Park, weather permitting. Afternoon disembark in historic Wulaia Bay. Walk through Magellanic forest to a look-out point. (B/L/D)

Day 8, Friday - Gunther Pluschow Glacier
Disembark near the Gunther Pluschow Glacier and approach Piloto and Nena glaciers by Zodiac boats for a closer look. (B/L/D)

Day 9, Saturday - Magdalena Island/Punta Arenas
Early in the morning, disembark on Magdalena Island, home of an immense colony of Magellanic penguins, and walk to the lighthouse. Arrive in Punta Arenas and disembark. Transfer to your hotel. (Carpa Manzano/Cabo de Hornos) (B)

Day 10, Sunday - Punta Arenas/Santiago
Fly to Santiago. Arrive and transfer to hotel. (Torremayor/Sheraton) (B)

Day 11, Monday - Santiago
Morning city tour includes Club Hipico, a beautiful horse-racing track; the Main Square (Plaza de Armas); and San Cristobal Hill, for a panoramic view. Afternoon free. (B)

Day 12, Tuesday - Santiago/Miami
Transfer to airport for your LAN Airlines flight to Miami. (B)
