New York City, September 29, 2008 - Pacific Holidays, a premier tour operator for the Pacific regions and South America, announced today its membership in ASTA’s Tour Operator Program (TOP), agreeing to adhere to its stricter membership standards and abide by a tour operator code of ethics.
ASTA established the TOP program to address concerns about a tour operator’s reliability and financial stability. Active TOP members are required to maintain a $1 million Errors & Omissions (E&O) policy naming travel agents as additional insureds.
The TOP program creates a mutually beneficial environment for agents, tour operators and consumers. Adherence to the TOP Code of Ethics sets Pacific Holidays apart from other tour operators, enabling agents and consumers to find reputable suppliers. Pacific Holidays pledges itself to conduct its business with integrity, treat travel agents and consumers in a courteous and professional manner, and strive to perform to the cleints’ expectations.
