Day 1, Thursday - Los Angeles/Auckland
Board your Air Pacific flight for Auckland, New Zealand. Day 2, Friday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line. Day 3, Saturday - Auckland
Arrive in Auckland. A complimentary transfer to Jucy Rentals depot is included. (If the international flight arrives or departs outside of the rental company's normal business hours (8:30 am - 5:30 pm) extra costs will apply). (Auckland City Hotel) Day 4, Sunday - Auckland/Rotorua
Today, drive to Rotorua and transfer to your hotel. Visit the surrounding area on your own or take an optional tour. (Distinction Rotorua) Note: Auckland-Rotorua driving distance 146 miles (approx. 3 hours and 20 minutes driving time)
Day 5, Monday - Rotorua
Day at leisure. You may opt to try a hangi feast - cooked in the steaming ground, take a tour of an authentic pre-European Maori village, or treat yourself to an indulgent spa treatment. If adventure is what you seek, Rotorua has many attractions that will surely get your adrenaline flowing; everything from sky diving and lugging, to zorbing and one of New Zealand's best mountain bike circuits. Day 6, Tuesday - Rotorua/Wellington
Today, drive to Welllington, located at the southern tip of the North Island. Explore the area on your own. (Distinction Wellington Century City) Note: Rotorua-Wellington driving distance 280 miles (approx. 6 hours and 30 minutes driving time)
Day 7, Wednesday - Wellington/Picton/Christchurch
Transfer to the South Island via ferry from Wellington to Picton (just over 3 hrs). Then drive to Christchurch. (Ashley Hotel) Note: Picton-Christchurch driving distance 214 miles (approx. 5 hours driving time)
Day 8, Thursday - Christchurch/Queenstown
Today, drive southwest to Queenstown. (Copthorne Hotel Lakefront)
Note: Christchurch-Queenstown driving distance 301 miles (approx. 7 hours driving time)
Day 9, Friday - Queenstown
Visit the surrounding area on your own or take an optional tour. Day 10, Saturday - Queenstown/Christchurch
Drive back to Christchurch (Copthorne Hotel Lakefront)

Day 11, Sunday - Christchurch/Los Angeles

The morning tour begins with a trip over the Harbour Bridge, enabling you to see firsthand why Auckland is known as the City of Sails. Then visit the Auckland Domain, the city's oldest park, situated on a 62,000-year-old volcano before continuing on to Parnell Village with its trendy shopping area featuring many boutiques, craft and specialty shops. Following a brief stop, your tour continues along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Savage Memorial Park in Mission Bay (a memorial to the first Labour Prime Minister of New Zealand), which provides superb views of the stunning Hauraki Gulf and Auckland City. Discover Rotorua Morning Must See Three - $125 per person
Great Sights operates a morning tour of Rotorua's leading attractions. Tamaki Heritage Experiences – Rotorua - $100 per couple
This tour to Tamaki Maori Village takes you on a cultural journey to the marae (Maori village), the life force of New Zealand's indigenous people. Your journey through time unfolds as you arrive at a pre-European village set deep within the forest, 15 minutes from Rotorua. Your guide instructs you on the protocol for visiting the marae. A chief is selected, a song is learned, and the eerie cry of the welcome is heard before you enter the world of the proud warriors of the ancient Maori. Experience the Powhiri (Welcome Ceremony) before you enter the village (houses) and hear traditional Maori instruments and watch the daily activities of days gone by. In the wharenui (meeting house), a Rangiatea culture group offers a powerful display of haka song and dance. Then, as new friendships are forged, dine on a traditional Hangi feast, where the food is cooked slowly beneath the ground in earth ovens. Operates daily during validity May 1 – Sept 30, 2013.
