Sample Itinerary:
Day 1- Miami/Manaus
Depart Miami for Brazil via TAM Brazilian Airlines. Arrive in Manaus, gateway to the Amazon region. Transfer to your hotel. (Mercure/Tropical Manaus Hotel)
Day 2 - Manaus/Amazon Jungle
Transfer to the pier for boat ride to the lodge, nestled in the upper streams of the mighty Amazon. Explore the lodge area or participate in the jungle activities organized by the lodge. (Ecopark/Ariau Tower Lodge) (B/L/D)
Day 3 - Amazon Jungle
Full day and evening jungle activities. Sign up to trek in the jungle, take a canoe ride on the river to fish for piranhas or catch a caiman, and learn more about the flora and fauna. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Amazon Jungle/Salvador
This morning transfer by boat to Manaus for flight to colorful Salvador. (Vila Gale Hotel/Pestana Bahia) (B)
Day 5 - Salvador
In the morning, tour Salvador's old section, including San Francisco Church. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 6 - Salvador
Tour the lower section of Salvador, with its historic homes, the waterfront and Monserrat district for a bird's-eye view. Stop at Mercado Modelo, a thriving market with local artifacts. Your afternoon is free. (B)
Day 7 - Salvador/Iguazu Falls

Day 9 - Rio de Janeiro
Start the day with a drive past Copacabana and Ipanema, two of the world's most famous beaches. Take a cable car ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Return to hotel via Flamingo Park and downtown. Afternoon free. Evening, enjoy dinner and a samba presentation. (B/D)
Day 10 - Rio de Janeiro
Today, visit Corcovado Mountain, with its 125-foot statue of Christ the Redeemer. From here, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Rio and its environs. On your return, see Maracana Stadium, the world's largest. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 11 - Rio de Janeiro/Miami
Transfer to the airport for TAM Airlines flight to Miami. (B)
