Continue to the War Cemetery, final resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war, where every stone tells a story of a lost life. Visit the world-famous wooden Bridge over the River Kwai, built along the mountainside by allied prisoners of war (made famous by the movie with the same name). Take a long-tailed boat on the Kwai River through unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. Check in at your resort. After lunch, take a long-tailed-boat trip to Resotel pier and continue by coach to Hellfire Pass Memorial, constructed by the Australian government to commemorate the war prisoners who died building the railway. Late afternoon, return to your resort. After dinner enjoy a 45-minute traditional and fascinating Mon Dance performance. Overnight at the River Kwai Resotel or at Jungle Rafts. (L/D)
