Day 1, Bangkok/Ayuthaya/Pitsanuloke
In the morning depart by coach for Ayuthaya, one of Thailand’s great historical highlights. Continue to Lopburi for lunch. Visit the ancient Phra Prang Sam Yod, with its magnificent carvings and the spectacular Monkey Temple. Proceed to Pitsanuloke, where you will overnight at the Topland Hotel. (L)

Day 2, Pitsanuloke/Sukhothai/Lampang
Depart for Sukhothai to visit the fascinating ruins of this first capital of Thailand. After lunch, continue to Sri Satchanalai, with its breathtaking caves and waterfalls. Overnight at the Lampang River Lodge. (B/L)

Day 3, Lampang/Chiang Saen/Chiang Rai
In the morning, depart for Ko Kha to visit the mythical temples of Wat Phra Kaeo Don Tao and Wat Chedi Sao. Proceed to Chiang Saen on the Lao border. Take a longtail speedboat upriver on the Mekong toward the famous Golden Triangle. Overnight in Chiang Rai at the Rimkok Resort. (B/L)

Day 4, Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai
Today visit the exotic villages of the Akha and Yao hill-tribes. After lunch, depart for Chiang Mai. Overnight at the Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel. (B/L)

Day 5, Chiang Mai/Bangkok
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Bangkok. Overnight at the Amari Atrium Hotel. (B)

Day 6, Depart Bangkok
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

Day 5, Chiang Mai/Mae Hong Son
Morning transfer to airport for flight to picturesque Mae Hong Son. Upon arrival, transfer to the Tara Mae Hong Son Hotel. This afternoon visit the ancient temples Jong Kham and Jong Klang located on a beautiful lake. Take photos of their unique wooden dolls collection. (B/L/D)

Day 6, Mae Hong Son
Take a scenic drive and an elephant ride to Khaya hill tribe village, home of the long necked Padong Tribe. Their “Giraffe” women are wearing long brass rings around their elongated necks, which they never take off.
After lunch, drive to Sop Soi and board longtail speed boats for a one-hour trip down the Pai River. Return to Mae Hong Son for dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 7, Mae Hong Son/ Bangkok
Before breakfast visit a morning market. Then drive south to visit the "Meo Micro Wave" hill-tribe village, located on a steep mountainside next to relay station from which the village got its name. Take an afternoon flight back to Bangkok. (Transfer to Amari Atrium Hotel.) (B)
