Day 1, Arrive Beijing
Transfer to Prime Hotel.

Day 2, Beijing
A full-day sightseeing includes historic Tiananmen Square (“Gate of Heavenly Peace”); the Forbidden City, home to two dynasties of Chinese emperors; the Summer Palace, one of the most noted classical gardens in the world; and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a delicious Peking Duck dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 3, Beijing
Travel outside the city for a full-day sightseeing on the famous Great Wall and a stop at the historic Ming Tombs. (B/L)

Day 4, Beijing/Xian
Fly to Xian and transfer to Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel. Tonight enjoy a feast of dumplings, a must-eat delicacy for any visitor to China. Xian is regarded as the birthplace of the great dumpling tradition. (B/L/D)

Day 5, Xian
A full-day tour includes a visit to the fantastic army of 6,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses at the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi. Enjoy a scenic trip to Hua Qing Hot Springs and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an ancient holy Buddhist building. (B/L)

Day 6, Xian/Chongqing
Fly to Chongqing and transfer to the Holiday Inn. Visit Pipa Hill and enjoy an awesome view of the city. Taste the most famous local dish, the “Hot Pot,” tonight. (B/L/D)

Day 7, Chongqing/Yangtze River Cruise
This morning embark on an unforgettable cruise along China's vital waterway, the Yangtze River, on board Victoria Cruise ship. (B/L/D)

Day 8/9, Yangtze River Cruise
Sail to Fengdu, Shibaozhai or Wanzhou, passing the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest water storage reservoir. Cruise up the Daning River and through the Small Three Gorges. (B/L/D)

Day 10, Yangtze River/Yichang/Shanghai
Arrive in Yichang and fly to Shanghai. Transfer to Mayfair New World Hotel. (B/L)

Day 11, Shanghai
A full-day city tour includes a visit to the Bund, Shanghai’s famous waterfront with its magnificent well-preserved buildings of different architectural styles. Marvel at the sight of two precious jade Buddhist statues preserved for centuries in the Jade Buddha Temple, and find peace and comfort strolling in Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden with more than 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds. Find a bargain on Nanjing Road, China’s premier shopping street. (B/L)

Day 12, Depart Shanghai
