For New York JFK departures, add $65 per person in the months of January through May and September through November. In June, July, August and December, add $125 additional per person for New York departures. Add $50 each way for weekend (Fri. Sat. & Sun.) travel over the Pacific. For special add-on airfares from various US cities, call Pacific Holidays for details. Air taxes and fuel surcharges ($250-$450 currently) are Not included in this package. Itinerary

Day 1 - USA/Beijing
Depart the USA this morning on Cathay Pacific Airways bound for Beijing.

Day 2 - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.

Day 3 - Beijing
Arrive in China's capital city of Beijing. You are transferred to your hotel. (Yanxiang Hotel/Qianmen Hotel/Chang’an Grand Hotel)

Day 4 - Beijing
A full day of sightseeing reveals the wonders of this 3,000-year-old city, including Tian An Men Square, courtyards and ceremonial halls of the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Also visit the Summer Palace, where the emperors escaped the intense heat of the city.

Day 5 - Beijing
Today you are free to explore the city. Or, sign up for the many optional tours including Great Wall tour available at hotel tour desk.

Day 6 - Beijing/Xian
Fly to Xian and transfer to hotel. (Dynasty Hotel/Xian Hotel/Hyatt Regency Hotel)

Day 7 - Xian
Today visit the renowned mausoleum of Emperor Qinshi Huangdi, with an army of 6,000 terra-cotta warriors, horses and chariots. En route stop at the Hua Qing Hot Springs.

Day 8 - Xian/Guilin

Day 9 - Guilin
Full day Li River Cruise, including lunch on board.

Day 10 - Guilin/Shanghai
Fly to Shanghai where you are transferred to your hotel. (Zhao’an Hotel/Lansheng Hotel/New World Mayfair Hotel)

Day 11 - Shanghai
Half day tour to the old section of Shanghai and visit the Yu Garden with architectural styles dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Also visit the Bund and Nanjing Road, the "No. 1 commercial street in China."

Day 12 - Shanghai/Hong Kong

Day 13 - Hong Kong
A morning sightseeing tour of this busy island takes you to Stanley Market, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen's floating community, and to the top of Victoria Peak for a spectacular view of the city and harbor. Remainder of the day free.

Day 14 - Hong Kong/USA
Transfer to airport this morning for your Cathay Pacific flight back to the US. Or, you may stay some extra days in Hong Kong. Or, take extensions to Paradise islands of Phuket and Bali, or to mystic Borneo rainforest.
