Located on a 240-acre private island, Matangi Private Island Resort and its breathtaking scenery, white powder beaches and tropical forest were written about in Patricia Schultz's book, 1000 Places to Visit Before You Die.

This adults-only resort offers nine individual beachfront bures, three tree house bures and an exclusive villa overlooking the ocean. Each bure is handcrafted from local materials and has an outdoor rock garden shower.

The restaurant serves fresh seafood and imported meats cooked in a traditional Fijian style with Continental influences.
