Prices quoted are valid for travel from Apr 1, 2010 through Mar 31, 2011 and based on weekday departures (Monday through Thursday) from San Francisco and Los Angeles via Singapore Airlines. For departures via Singapore Airlines gateway cities of New York JFK and Houston TX, add $100 per person. For weekend departures (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) add $65 per person. For special add-on airfares from various US cities, call Pacific Holidays for details. Air taxes ($137 per person currently) are not included in this package.  
 

Itinerary

 

Day 1 - USA/Kuala Lumpur
Depart the US on board a Singapore Airlines flight to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 - En Route
Cross the International Date Line en route.

Day 3 - Kuala Lumpur
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Swiss Garden Hotel/Istana Hotel/Grand Millennium Hotel)

Day 4 - Kuala Lumpur
An orientation tour of the city covers the major historical landmarks - King`s Palace, National Monument, National Mosque and Merdeka (Independence) Square. Much of the history of the city is depicted here, as well as the tradition and cultural heritage of the major communities. Included in this tour is a photo stop at the Petronas Twin Tower plus an opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the observation deck of the KL Tower. Return to your hotel and enjoy rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 5 - Kuala Lumpur
Full day free to explore the city on your own.

Day 6 - Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok
Fly to Thailand's capital city of Bangkok. You are transferred to your hotel. (Manhattan Hotel/Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel/Royal Orchid Sheraton)

 

Day 7 - Bangkok
After breakfast, enjoy a tour of this bustling city famous for its many temples. Visit some of the most renowned Buddhist places of worship: Wat Suthat, Wat Pho, and Wat Benchamabophit. Wat Suthat is one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok, famed for its beautiful roofline, huge golden Buddha, excellent murals and giant swing out front. Wat Pho, which features the largest reclining Buddha image in Thailand, and the Chedi of the kings, is Bangkok's oldest and largest temple. Finally there is Wat Benchamabophit, a fine modern Thai temple constructed from white Carrara marble with ornate crossbeams decorated with lacquer and gold. Balance of the day at leisure.

 
 

Day 8 - Bangkok
Full day free to explore the city. Or, sign up for the many optional tours available at hotel tour desk.

Day 9 - Bangkok/Singapore
Fly to Singapore. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Hotel Royal/York Hotel/Meritus Mandarin Hotel)

Day 10 - Singapore
Discover the history, culture and lifestyle of Singapore on your morning tour. Stroll along the colorful streets of Little India and be dazzled by the hive of activity that permeates every nook and cranny of the area. The next stop is the "Colonial" heart of Singapore, where you take a short stroll to view the Merlion from next to the Esplanade theatre. Drive past the Financial District to Chinatown, a place where many immigrants forefathers set up home. Patronize the varied and unique shops and visit the oldest Hindu Temple in Singapore, the magnificent Sri Mariamman Temple. Last stop is the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the 'green lung' of the city center, and experience the calm and serenity of this 52 hectares garden. Located within the grounds of the park is the National Orchid Garden, where you can marvel at the wide variety and colors of orchids on display. Tour includes a visit to a jewelry factory, where you can engage in shopping, one of Singaporeans' favorite pastimes, or simply admire the fine designs of Singapore jewelry.

 

Day 11 - Singapore
Full day at leisure to explore this dynamic city on your own. Or, join the many optional tours available at the hotel tour desk.

Day 12 - Singapore/USA
Transfer to airport this morning for your Singapore Airlines flight back to the US. Or, you may stay some extra days in Singapore. Or, take extensions to Paradise islands of Phuket and Bali, to mystic Borneo rainforest or mainland China.

  • Ticket(s) must be issued and full payment must be received within 7 days of reservation
  • Major credit card accepted; Credit card authorization required
