For New York JFK departures, add $65 per person in the months of Jan-May & Sep-Nov; add $120 per person in the months of Jun-Aug. For Honolulu departures, deduct $60 per person in the months of Jan-Nov, and deduct $300 for Dec. Add $40 each way for weekend (Fri. Sat. & Sun.) travel over the Pacific. No weekend surcharge for New York and Honolulu departures. For special add-on airfares from various US cities, call Pacific Holidays for details. Day 1, Mon - USA/Beijing
Depart the USA, this morning on China Airlines bound for Beijing. En route, cross the International Date Line.
Day 2, Tue - Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of People’s Republic of China. Transfer to hotel. (Yanxiang Hotel/Qianmen Hotel/Chang’an Grand Hotel)
Day 3, Wed - Beijing
A full day of sightseeing reveals the wonders of this 3,000-year-old city, including Tian An Men Square, courtyards and ceremonial halls of the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Also visit the Summer Palace, where the emperors escaped the intense heat of the city.
Day 4, Thu - Beijing
Full day free to explore the ancient city on your own. Or book an optional tour to the Great Wall and Ming Tombs.
Day 5, Fri - Beijing/Taipei
Fly China Airlines charter flight and go directly to Taipei. Transfer to hotel. (First Hotel/Fullerton East/Landis Hotel)
Day 6, Sat - Taipei
Breakfast at hotel. Morning tour includes the impressive architecture of Martyrs' Shrine, art treasures at the National Palace Museum, and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. Afternoon is free.
Day 7, Sun - Taipei
Full day free to explore this cosmopolitan city. Or take optional tours to the North Coast or Toroko Gorge.
Day 8, Mon - Taipei/USA
Transfer to airport this morning for your China Airlines flight back to the US. Or, you may stay some extra days in Taipei. Or, take extensions to Paradise islands of Phuket and Bali or to mystic Borneo rainforest. |
