Sample Itinerary:

Day 1, Friday - Los Angeles/Tokyo
Depart from the US on Singapore Airlines trans-Pacific flight to Tokyo. En route cross the International Date Line.

Day 2, Saturday - Tokyo/Port Moresby
Arrive at Tokyo Narita International Airport and connect with Air Niugini to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea.

Day 3, Sunday - Port Moresby/ Mt. Hagen
Upon arrival in Port Moresby, connect with your onward flight to Mt. Hagen. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, tour the Waghi Valley and see mudmen's performance in their village. (Rondon Ridge Lodge) (B)

Day 4, Monday - Mt. Hagen/Timbunke
Fly by chartered air to Timbunke and transfer to board MV Sepik Spirit. (B/L/D)

Day 5/6 , Tuesday/Wednesday - Sepik River Cruise
Two full days of voyage of discovery into the mystical world of the Lower and Middle Sepik regions of rivers, tributaries, swamps and lakes. Explore the primitive villages virtually untouched by the outside world. Marvel at the villagers' craftsmanship in hewing canoes from gigantic logs and creating headdresses, adornments and ritual masks. Visit decorated Haus Tambarans (spirit houses of the villagers). Day 7, Thursday - Karawari
Transfer by riverboat to Karawari Lodge. "Arambak" country is one of the most remote and unspoiled areas in the region. In a small riverboat you explore villages along the jungle- fringed waterways. Watch the people at Kundiman Village weaving baskets and gathering, preparing and cooking their staple food from the Sago palm. (B/L/D)

Day 8, Friday - Karawari/Tari
Fly to Tari and transfer to Ambua Lodge, located at 7,000 feet above sea level in the Tari Gap area. Venture along the nature trails and view the jungle ,where you can see orchids and rhododendrons. (B/L/D)

Day 9, Saturday - Tari
Today's adventure centers on the great Tari Basin and the surrounding mountain slopes. The flamboyant Huli Wigmen of the Tari Valley live intimately with nature as they have for thousands of years. Observe the typical daily activities of the Huli. (B/L/D)

Day 10, Sunday - Tari/Port Moresby
Fly to the capital city of Port Moresby and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon a city tour includes Parliament House, Botanical Gardens and other places of interest. (Airways Hotel) (B)

Day 11, Monday - Port Moresby/ Singapore
Fly Air Niugini to Singapore. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. (Pan Pacific Hotel) (B)

Day 12, Tuesday - Singapore
Morning tour of Singapore includes its modern financial district, the botanic gardens' orchid collection, China Town, and Little India. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 13, Wednesday - Singapore/Los Angeles
Depart via Singapore Airlines to the US, and arrive home the same day. (B)
