Day 1, Thursday - USA/Auckland
Depart from the US on Air Pacific trans- Pacific flight to Auckland.
Day 2, Friday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.
Day 3, Saturday - Auckland
Arrive in Auckland and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, a city tour takes you to the Harbor Bridge and Mt. Eden for a beautiful view of the city and harbor and to the War Memorial Museum. (Copthorne Harbour City Hotel/Rendezvous Hotel)
Day 4, Sunday - Auckland/Waitomo/ Rotorua

Day 5, Monday - Rotorua
A morning visit to the Agrodome to see an entertaining sheep show, followed by Rainbow Springs. At Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, you visit the Maori Cultural Arts and Crafts Center, followed by a tour of the soaring geysers and bubbling mud pools. The afternoon is at leisure. Day 9, Friday - Queenstown/Mt. Cook

Day 11, Sunday - Otira
Today's excursion by Tranz Alpine train brings you to Otira on the west-coast side of the mighty Southern Alps. Travel to the rain forest of Arthur's Pass National Park. Lunch at the alpine chalets, followed by a brief forest walk. Stop for tea with the Deans family and enjoy a demonstration of dog trials and sheep shearing. (B/L)
Day 12, Monday - Christchurch
A morning city tour visits the Arts and Crafts Center, Cathedral Square, and Canterbury Museum, with a tea stop at Sign of the Takahe. (B)
