Day 1, Wednesday - USA/Auckland
Depart from the US on Air Tahiti Nui trans- Pacific flight to Auckland.

Day 2, Thursday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.

Day 3, Friday - Auckland
Arrive in Auckland and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, a city tour takes you to the Harbor Bridge and Mt. Eden for a beautiful view of the city and harbor and to the War Memorial Museum. (Copthorne Harbour City Hotel/Rendezvous Hotel)

Day 4, Saturday - Auckland/Waitomo/ Rotorua
Travel by motor coach to Waitomo Caves and visit the magical glow-worm grotto. Continue to the thermal springs of Rotorua. (Rydges Hotel/Royal Lakeside Novotel) (B/L)

Day 5, Sunday - Rotorua
A morning visit to the Agrodome to see an entertaining sheep show, followed by Rainbow Springs. At Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, you visit the Maori Cultural Arts and Crafts Center, followed by a tour of the soaring geysers and bubbling mud pools. The afternoon is at leisure. Day 6, Monday - Rotorua/Queenstown

Day 7, Tuesday - Milford Sound
Drive from Queenstown through the Fiordland National Park. On arrival at Milford Sound, enjoy a cruise on the tranquil waters of the fiord, with a view of the famous Mitre Peak and the waterfalls. Return to Queenstown in the evening. (B/L)

Day 8, Wednesday - Queenstown
Full day at leisure. (B)

Day 9, Thursday - Queenstown/Mt. Cook
In the morning, travel overland to Mt. Cook. Drive through the Kawarau Gorge and Lindis Pass and view Mt. Cook, New Zealand's highest peak. You may take an optional flight over New Zealand's finest alpine scenery. Or, take a walk in the Mt. Cook National Park. (The Hermitage Hotel) (B/D)

Day 10, Friday - Mt. Cook/Christchurch
Morning at leisure before leaving Mt. Cook for Christchurch. Travel alongside Lake Pukaki to Lake Tekapo, view the Church of the Good Shepherd, pass through the Mackenzie country, cross the Canterbury Plains, and arrive in Christchurch. (Holiday Inn City Center/Crowne Plaza Hotel) (B)

Day 11, Saturday - Otira
Today's excursion by Tranz Alpine train brings you to Otira on the west-coast side of the mighty Southern Alps. Travel to the rain forest of Arthur's Pass National Park. Lunch at the alpine chalets, followed by a brief forest walk. Stop for tea with the Deans family and enjoy a demonstration of dog trials and sheep shearing. (B/L)

Day 12, Sunday - Christchurch
A morning city tour visits the Arts and Crafts Center, Cathedral Square, and Canterbury Museum, with a tea stop at Sign of the Takahe. (B)

Day 13, Monday - Christchurch/USA

Board Air Tahiti Nui flight to Tahiti.

Day 12, Sunday - Tahiti
Cross International Date Line and arrive in Tahiti. Transfer to your idyllic beach resort. (Sofitel, classic mountain-view room/ Le Meridien, panoramic lagoon-view room)

Day 13, Monday - Tahiti
Half-day tour takes you on a complete tour around the island, including Tahara'a viewpoint, Arahoho Blow-hole, Vaipahi Gardens, and Mara'a Fern Grottoes. After, you may opt to take "Le Truck," Tahiti's open-air "bus," to Papeete, enjoy a four-wheel drive to the island's interior, or relax at poolside. (B)
