The Golden Japan Vacation Package is the Ideal Way to Travel Japan

Your trip begins as you depart Los Angeles and arrive in Tokyo via Singapore Airlines. You'll then transfer to your Tokyo hotel. During a morning tour of Tokyo, travel to Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace Plaza and many other historical landmarks. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. With this Japan tour, you won't be confined to Tokyo. Trips will be taken to such cities as Nikko, where you can see the Toshogu Shrine and the picturesque Kengo Waterfall, and Hakone, where you can take a cruise on Lake Ashi and ride a aerial cableway up Mt. Komagatake. The bullet train ride into Nagoya. Is an exhilarating experience. Continue on to Toba and then to Kyoto by express train. Once there, you will take a city tour of some of its most famous buildings, such as the Golden Pavilion and the Imperial Palace, among others. Continue on to visit Nara, Takayama and Kanazawa. A final train ride has you arriving in Tokyo to connect with Singapore Airlines for a return trip to the USA.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1, Saturday - Los Angeles/Tokyo
Depart the USA via Singapore Airlines trans-Pacific flight for Tokyo. Cross the International Date Line en route.

Day 2, Sunday - Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo and transfer to your hotel. (Grand Palace Hotel/Keio Plaza Hotel)

Day 3, Monday - Tokyo
Morning city tour to Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon temple and Tasaki Pearl. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4, Tuesday - Tokyo/Kamakura/Tokyo
Travel by coach to Kamakura. Visit Hase Kannon Temple and the Great Buddha, largest in Japan. After lunch, pay a visit to an ancient shrine dedicated to an emperor, then stroll along Komachi shopping street. Return to Tokyo by coach. (L)

Day 5, Wednesday - Tokyo/Nikko/Tokyo
Full-day excursion to Nikko, visiting Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, Lake Chuzenji, and Kegon Waterfall. (L)

Day 6, Thursday - Tokyo
Full day at leisure to explore the city on your own.

Day 7, Friday - Tokyo/Mt. Fuji/Hakone
Drive halfway up Mt. Fuji. Continue to the historic Hakone Barrier, cruise on Lake Ashi, and ride the Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway. (Hotel Kowaki-en) (L)

Day 8, Saturday - Hakone/Nagoya/Toba
Bullet (high-speed) train to Nagoya to visit a technological museum and Nagoya Castle. Continue to Toba. (Toba Hotel International)

Day 9, Sunday - Toba/Ise/Kyoto
Morning, visit a pearl museum and Ise Jingu Shrine, followed by an express train to Kyoto. (Rihga Royal Hotel/ Westin Miyako Hotel) (L)

Day 10, Monday - Kyoto/Nara/Kyoto
Morning city tour to Golden Pavilion, Nijojo Castle, and Kyoto Imperial Palace. Afternoon excursion to Nara. Visit Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Shrine, and Deer Park. Return to Kyoto for overnight. (L)

Day 11, Tuesday - Kyoto
Full day free to explore the city on your own.

Day 12, Wednesday - Kyoto/Takyama
Bullet train to Nagoya, and then into the Japanese Alps and charming Takayama, so-called "Little Kyoto." This afternoon, visit the Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum and the traditional wooden houses of old Kami Sannomachi Town. (Hida Hotel Plaza)

Day 13, Thursday - Takayama/Kanazawa
After a visit to the morning market, depart along a scenic route to Shirakawago, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historic significance. Visit the Folk Museum and unique "joined hands" farmhouse, and then learn to make paper by hand in Gokayama, another World Heritage Site. Continue to Kanazawa. (Miyako Hotel/ANA Hotel)

Day 14, Friday - Kanazawa/Tokyo
Morning tour includes Kenrokuen Garden, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan, a Kutaniyaki pottery kiln, and a stroll through Nagamachi district, known for its historic samurai-class homes. Afternoon, train to Tokyo. (Grand Palace Hotel/Keio Plaza Hotel)

Day 15, Saturday - Tokyo/USA
Transfer by coach to Narita International Airport for your return flight, arriving in Los Angeles the same day.
