Day 1, Monday - USA/Beijing
Depart the US via Cathay Pacific's trans-Pacific flight for Beijing.
Day 2, Tuesday - En Route
Cross International Date Line.
Day 3, Wednesday - Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. You are met by your guide and transferred to hotel. (Prime Hotel)
Day 4, Thursday - Beijing
Full day sightseeing to see wonders of this 3,000-year-old city. Highlights include the monumental Tian An Men Square, the expansive courtyards and palaces of the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace, where emperors escaped the intense heat of the city. (B/L)
Day 5, Friday - Beijing
Travel outside the city to the magnificent Great Wall with a stop at the impressive Ming Tombs. Evening, enjoy an authentic Peking Duck Dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 7, Sunday - Yangtze River Cruise
Disembark for a tour of one of the world's largest hydraulic projects, the Three Gorges Dam. Sail through the majestic Xiling Gorge, the longest of the famous Three Gorges, and Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley and forested mountains. (B/L/D)
Day 8, Monday - Yangtze River Cruise
Today you take a breathtaking excursion by motorized sampan up the Daning River for a close look at the towering Three Small Gorges. (B/L/D)
Day 9, Tuesday - Yangtze River Cruise
Continuing along the Yangtze River, a stop is made at the village of Fengdu. (B/L/D)
Day 10, Wednesday - Chongqing/Shanghai
Arrive in Chongqing and transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Or, take our optional extensions to Xian, Guilin and Hong Kong. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you are escorted to your hotel.
