Depart the United States on a Cathay Pacific Airways trans-Pacific flight for Bangkok.
Day 2, Wednesday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.
Day 3, Thursday - Bangkok

Day 4, Friday - Bangkok/Vientiane

Take a 40-minute flight north to Luang Prabang, the ancient capital and home of the former royal family. Day 12, Saturday - Ho Chi Minh City
