Day 1, Thursday - Los Angeles/Hong Kong
Depart the USA aboard a Cathay Pacific Airlines flight to Hong Kong.

Day 3, Saturday - Hong Kong/Bangkok

Day 4, Sunday - Bangkok/Colombo

Day 5, Monday - Colombo/Sigiriya
After breakfast, depart overland for Sigiriya. En route, visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela and stop at Cadjugama, where cadjunuts and king coconuts are sold in roadside stalls. Day 6, Tuesday - Sigiriya/Polonnaruwa/ Kandy
After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's medieval capital. Visit this sacred city's many archaeological and historical sites, including the excavated and restored Quadrangle that encloses remains of the Royal Palace, temples, and the Hindu shrine Siva Devalaya. Day 7, Wednesday - Kandy

Depart for Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, where your city tour includes a Buddhist temple, Dutch Wolvendhal Church, a Hindu temple, Town Hall, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, and Cinnamon Gardens, the city's university and diplomatic quarter and prime residential area.
