All-Inclusive China Vacation Package

Your trip to the Orient begins with an evening flight from the USA to Shanghai on Cathay Pacific Airlines. You'll cross the International Date Line en route to Shanghai. Upon arrival, a tour guide will meet you and transport you to your Shanghai hotel. Your Shanghai travel plans include trips to the Bund, the Yu Garden and the Jade Buddha Temple. Your next stop is Beijing. After a night at your Beijing hotel, you'll begin your Beijing tour with visits to the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and many other mystical places. A short flight takes you to your next destination, Xian. In Xian, the Mausoleum of Emperor Qinshi Huangdi is an astonishing sight and a stop at the Hua Qing Hot Springs is a welcome respite. Guilin is the next stop on your Shanghai tour and its mountainous views and rock formations offer hours of viewing pleasure. A cruise down the Li River is the ideal way to finish out your time in Guilin, before traveling to Hong Kong, where plenty of sightseeing and shopping lie in wait. The last day of your Hong Kong tour has you departing on a flight destined for the USA where you will return the same day.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1, Wednesday - USA/Shanghai
Depart the USA on Cathay Pacific Airways trans-Pacific flight to Shanghai in the evening.

Day 2, Thursday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.

Day 3, Friday - Shanghai
Arrive in cosmopolitan Shanghai, where you are met and escorted to your hotel. (Lansheng Hotel)

Day 4, Saturday - Shanghai
Full-day sightseeing to visit the Bund, Jade Buddha Temple and Yu Garden, and to shop along busy Nanjing Road. (B/L)

Day 5, Sunday - Shanghai/Beijing
Fly to Beijing and transfer to your hotel. (Qianmen Hotel) (B)

Day 6, Monday - Beijing
A full day of sightseeing reveals the wonders of this 3,000-year-old city, including Tian An Men Square, courtyards and ceremonial halls of the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Also visit the Summer Palace, where the emperors escaped the intense heat of the city. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner this evening. (B/L/D)

Day 7, Tuesday - Beijing
Travel up into the mountains northwest of the city for an opportunity to climb the imposing Great Wall. Stop at the Ming Tombs on the way. (B/L)

Day 8, Wednesday – Beijing/Xian
In the morning, fly to Xian, China's ancient capital. Tonight enjoy a feast of delicate dumplings. (Jianguo Hotel) (B/L/D)

Day 9, Thursday - Xian
Today visit the renowned mausoleum of Emperor Qinshi Huangdi, with an army of 6,000 terra-cotta warriors, horses and chariots. En route stop at the Hua Qing Hot Springs. (B/L)

Day 10, Friday - Xian/Guilin
Fly to Guilin, with its spectacular mist-wrapped mountains and sublime landscapes. Visit Reed Flute Cave with its fascinating rock formations. (Bravo Hotel) (B/L)

Day 11, Saturday - Guilin/Hong Kong
The highlight of your visit to Guilin is a cruise down the Li River, which has inspired centuries of Chinese poets and painters. Lunch is served on board before docking at the small town of Yangshuo. In the evening dine at a popular restaurant. Then fly to Hong Kong and transfer to hotel. (Kimberley Hotel) (B/L/D)

Day 12, Sunday - Hong Kong
This morning, a half-day tour takes you to Stanley Market, the floating community of Aberdeen, and the top of Victoria Peak. The balance of the day is at leisure for shopping or sightseeing. (B)

Day 13, Monday - Hong Kong/USA
Transfer to the airport for Cathay Pacific Airways flight back to the States, arriving the same day. (B)
