Your Yangtze Travel Experience Awaits

Your exciting excursion begins with a comfortable flight aboard Cathay Pacific Airlines where you will cross the International Date Line. Your arrival in Beijing will encompass you with amazing sights, sounds and tastes. You will visit the stunning Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City and many other ancient and honored buildings. A flight to the historical city of Xian will impress you its collection of 6,000 life-sized soldiers and horses made from terra cotta. A visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a lesson in history not to be missed. A short visit to Chongqing is destined to tantalize your taste buds before you cruise the Yangtze River in a luxuriously appointed Victoria Cruise ship. This unbelievable cruise will sail past the Three Gorges Dam, up the Daning River to the Small Three Gorges. It's an experience that will be unforgettable. Your cruise will end in Yichang, where you will catch a flight to Shanghai. If you've added the extension, then your vacation doesn't end here. After enjoying Shanghai's attractions, you'll be heading to Guilin where you will cruise the Li River and enjoy lunch aboard the ship. The final stage is a Hong Kong tour package. Your morning sightseeing tour will highlight many of Hong Kong's attractions and scenic wonders. You'll have plenty of time to leisurely wander about the beautiful city, take in the marvelous sights or do some shopping at the many colorful markets. From Hong Kong you will fly back to the USA where you will return home the same day.

Depart the USA on your Cathay Pacific trans-Pacific flight for Beijing.

Day 2, Friday - En Route
Cross the International Date Line.

Day 3, Saturday - Beijing
Arrive Beijing and transfer to your hotel. (Prime Hotel)

Day 4, Sunday - Beijing
A full-day sightseeing takes you round the wonders of this 3,000-year-old city. Visit Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. (B/L)

Day 5, Monday - Beijing
Travel outside the city to the magnificent Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Peking Duck dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 6, Tuesday - Beijing/Xian

Day 7, Wednesday - Xian

Day 8, Thursday - Xian/Chongqing

This morning you embark on an unforgettable cruise along China's vital waterway, the Yangtze River, on board a Victoria Cruise ship. (B/L/D)

Sail to Fengdu, Shibaozhai or Wanzhou, passing the Three Gorges Dam en route. Cruise up the Daning River for the Small Three Gorges. (B/L/D)

Day 12, Monday - Yangtze River/Yichang/ Shanghai
